Welcome! I’m Kimberly Sheridan Owen, a Fascial Stretch Therapist. Stretch Therapy helps to increase flexibility, relieve pain, improve blood flow, boost athletic performance, and relieve stress and tension.
WHAT'S FASCIA AND STRETCH THERAPY?
Fascia is the connective tissue surrounding your muscles, bones, and organs. It becomes stiffer and denser along lines of repetitive stress or strain, including long bouts of non-movement like sitting. Fascial Stretch Therapy is dynamic assisted stretching and uses circular spiraling patterns to calm your nervous system and ease you into further flexibility with no pain. You relax and breathe; I do the work. You'll experience decompression, a greater range of motion, and may feel spacious and as if you’re floating afterward. ☺️
MORE ABOUT ME:
After many years in New Jersey, New York City, Los Angeles, and Spokane, Washington, in the USA, I’m now located in Wellington, New Zealand (Miramar). I've been in the fitness and wellness industry for 20 years and started my journey in New York City in 2005 as a personal trainer. I always loved stretching my clients, and I ended up working at the first Stretch Lab in Venice Beach. Then, I discovered Fascial Stretch Therapy and instantly fell in love with this specific modality; It helped relieve stiffness and pain from my bulging disc and sciatica. I promptly got certified, and I've been doing this form of assisted stretching for 8 years. In my last city, I was thrilled to be the Stretch Therapist for the Eastern Washington University football team from 2018 to 2021.
Additionally, I have a degree in illustration, a master's in creative nonfiction writing, and am an arts and tattoo enthusiast. I look forward to meeting and working with you; I want you to feel your best, move with ease, and be pain-free! 🖤
